PORCINE DISEASES

Abstract
This paper presents data on the preparation of cells from porcine bone marrow, spleen, lymph nodes, kidneys and testicles used for African swine fever virus reproduction. Viability of cells after cryopreservation was studied only in porcine bone marrow cell culture. The cell culture was frozen and stored at -70, -150 and -196°C. 10% dimethyl sulfide supplemented with 10% of fetal bovine serum was used as a cryoprotectant. When the cells were thawed and the cryoprotectant was removed 10 lU/ml of heparin sodium was added to prevent cell aggregation. ASFV culturing in porcine bone marrow cell culture stored at -150 and -196°C during 5-6 months demonstrated the highest haemadsorption titers: 5,76±0,25 Ig HAdU50/0,15 cm3 and (4,66-4,87)±0,25 Ig HAdU50/0,15 cm3, respectively. Porcine bone marrow cells remained viable only for four months of storage at -70°C and were able to maintain the virus reproduction at the level of (3,2-3,86)±0,25 Ig HAdU50/0,15 cm3 when thawed.

Abstract
Antibiotic resistance of 42 porcine Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae isolates recovered from pigs in the Russian Federation in 2012-2014 has been monitored. Most of them proved to be sensitive to penicillins (85,7%), aminopenicillins (92,9%), III-IV-generation cephalosporins (100%), enrofloxacin (81,0%), erythromycin (85,7%) and florfenicol (95,2%). The majority of the isolates demonstrated resistance to tetracyclines, sulfanilamides and trimethoprim.

Abstract
The method for the simultaneous detection of nine fluoroquinolone antibiotics (marbofloxacin, ofloxacin, pefloxacin, norfloxacin, ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, danofloxacin, sarafloxacin and difloxacin) in chicken eggs using high-performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection was developed. The detected range of fluoroquinolones is from 10 to 100 μg/kg in a 4g sample. Based on the validation studies the combined standard uncertainty and relative expanded uncertainty were calculated. The technique enables to detect antibiotic residues in their admissible levels equal to 100 μg/kg, in compliance with SanPiN 2.3.2.2804-10 and Common sanitary-epidemiological and hygienic requirements to the goods subject to sanitary and epidemiological surveillance (control).

Abstract
The paper gives official data on stringent foot-and-mouth disease epidemic situation existing in the world including Russia in 2013-2015 and on FMD control measures taken by the countries as well as on efficient use of FGBI «ARRIAH» manufactured FMD vaccines based on emergent FMDV strains.

Abstract
The article presents data on microneutralization test for detection of specific antibodies to Schmallenberg virus. The method is characterized by high sensitivity and specificity. It can be used for analysis of blood sera of different species of animals.

Abstract
Effectiveness of the corrective measures taken in the communities affected by brucellosis was analyzed. Based on the results obtained, it is suggested that the whole mature population should be serologically tested with a 30-day interval and the detected diseased animals should be killed within 10-15 days. In addition, backyards and animal facilities on the affected farms should be systematically disinfected. Pursuant to the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union it is reasonable to issue a new order on brucellosis control in the Republic of Armenia. All the measures designed to control brucellosis shall comply with the livestock practices implemented in the Republic of Armenia.

Abstract
Data on examination of chickens intranasally infected with А/duck/Altai/469/14 H5N1 isolate of avian influenza virus for clinical signs and microscopic and gross pathomorphological lesions in their organs are given in the paper. The virus antigen was identified in chicken tissue lesions by immunohistochemical method.

Abstract
Data on identification and analysis of whole genome nucleotide sequence of strain «O» of avian infectious laryngotracheitis virus are demonstrated. In the process of the whole genome sequence mapping a number of unique and significant nucleotide properties has been identified in genes that code surface proteins responsible for interacting with cell receptors. Strain «O» has been demonstrated to belong to phylogenetic group 1 subgroup 1 (1.1). Genetic relatedness of domestic strain «0» to other vaccine strains widely used in global poultry industry such as Serva, Cover, Hudson and Fowl laryngo has been determined. The mapped nucleotide sequence has been deposited in the international GenBank database under the accession number KU128407. It is the first complete genetic characterization of the domestic vaccine strain.

Abstract
Avian adenovirus was isolated from livers of 154-day-old hens on one farm located in the Krasnodar Krai in 2009. The virus was isolated in chicken Leghorn male hepatoma cell culture that exhibited cytopathogenic effect and identified as avian type С adenovirus by PCR followed by sequencing of hexon gene fragment. Hydropericardium syndrome developed in 7-day-old broiler chickens experimentally orally infected with the virus.

Abstract
The retrospective analysis of rabies epizootic situation in animals in the territory of the Russian Federation in 2007-2014 is described in the article. The species composition of rabies in animals for this period is studied and the forecast of the probability of rabies occurrence in animals in the Russian Federation for 2015 is made.
